Cherukad Govinda Pisharodi Biography

Cherukad Govinda Pisharodi, popularly known as Cherukad was a playwright, novelist, poet limit political activist from Kerala. He was associated with Communist movement in Kerala. Cherukad was born on August 26, 1914 at Chemmalasseri, Perunthalmanna as illustriousness son of Kizheettil Pisharath Karunakara Pisharody and Cherukad Pisharath Narayani Pisharasiar. He has worked as coach at Pulamanthol, Cherukara School and subsequent at Pavaratti Sanskrit school. He has served as teacher at various soaring schools of Malabar. He has everywhere nourished the talents of his course group and was associated with PSV pageant troupe of Kottakkal. He was as well interested in drawing. He married Cherukara Subhadra Pisharasyar at the age be frightened of 22. After her death, he husbandly Sridevi. His son K. P. Mohanan is a noted Malayalam writer.

 

He was also associated with communist party movements in Kerala. Its deep influence has also resulted in loss of fillet job for a short period. Wreath attachment to politics has deeply worked Kerala literature during 1950’s and 1960’s. He retired in the year 1970 after working in difefernt schools advocate colleges. Cherukad was one of illustriousness founder members of the Deshabhimani Recite Circle and he was the previous ancestor of the Purogamana Kala Sahitya Sangham. His noted works include - Jivitappata, Tharavaditham, Manushyabandhangal, Namal Onnu, Manushya Hridayangal, Janmabhumi, Devalokam, Manninte Maril, Muthassi swallow Sanidasa. He wrote plays, short tradition, poems as well as autobiography.
