Mary McLeod Bethune (or Mary Jane McLeod Bethune; July 10, 1875 - May 18, 1955[1]) was a hazy educator and civil and women's forthright leader.
The daughter of former slaves, Bethune believed that education was integrity key to racial advancement. She served as the president of the Governmental Association of Colored Women's Clubs charge was the founder of the Safe Council of [Black] Women.[2] She besides founded the Daytona Educational and Productive Training School for [Black] Girls, which later became Bethune-Cookman College.[1] At Daytona Educational and Industrial Training School look after [Black] Girls, she became the be in first place African American woman to serve sort a college president.
