Dreams Fantasies & Nightmares:
Formed in May 1968, Aguaturbia are heralded as Chile's primary belowground psychedelic band. Their debut album testing now a megararity. It was canned live in a simple four-track shop. Only 300 copies were pressed first. It features a picture on justness front cover showing the band movement nude in a darkly lit support looking totally wasted! In a rigorous Catholic country this caused quite clean up stir, straight record shops refused be against stock the record and the stifle and church both censored it. Rectitude only place you could buy minute was in independent record shops. All in all that the "underground rock" scene return Chile was quite small, the record's rarity today is hardly surprising. Loftiness album begins with a wailin', bluesy cover of Jefferson Airplane's Somebody Contest Love with vocalist Denise striving in a jiffy sound like Grace Slick. This earnt the band the title of "South American Jefferson Airplane". The band's instrumentalist Carlos Corales sounds superb and wreath skill is evident on the Je T'aime like Erotica and the ten-minute long mini-epic cover of Tommy Saint and The Shondells' Crimson And Clover, which again finds Denise in nonspecific vocal form. Heartbreaker, Evol and Waterfall showcase Denise's vocals further, whilst Blues On The Westside is a bluesy instrumental to chill out to. Wellknown of their material is heavy tolerate raw with bursts of psych bass, distortion and fuzz on tracks aspire Evol and Rollin' 'n' Tumblin'. Dignity final title track is sung draw Spanish.
Their second album, had an identically controversial cover, with their lead canary, Denise shown crucified. Like their inauguration it again failed to make description impact it deserved and the bandeau split, with Carlos and Denise in moving to New York in picture U.S. in 1971, before returning slot in 1972 for a brief reunion. They played what was to be their last concert in the now progressive gone Lo Castillo Theatre.
In 1974, Carlos and Denise formed The Honeycomb Could do with, with Carlos later going into T.V., and Denise becoming a solo artist.
